1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Marketplace. By accessing our platform, you agree to comply with our local commerce guidelines, safety protocols, and seller-buyer transparency rules.
2. Local Transactions
Buyers and sellers are responsible for verifying the item, price, condition, and pickup details before payment. Marketplace does not act as the seller, process transaction payments, or guarantee shipping for individual listings.
3. Content Integrity
We reserve the right to remove any listing that is illegal, misleading, or violates applicable marketplace policies and Google merchant requirements.
1. Data Collection & Purpose
Via Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email, and profile picture to create a secure account. We store your listings and images in Firebase so they can be shown to other users in the marketplace.
2. Location Transparency
We access your device location only while the app is active to help you find nearby deals. We do not track location in the background. You can manage permissions in your browser or device settings.
3. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell personal data. Information is protected with HTTPS and is shared only with service providers such as Firebase and Google for essential app features and analytics.
4. Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your data. To request permanent deletion of your account and associated ads, email us at info@marketplace-bazaar.com. We process requests within 48 hours.
5. Children's Privacy
Marketplace is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Delivery & Collection Policy
Business model: Marketplace connects independent buyers and sellers. Marketplace does not own listed products, arrange or perform delivery, or guarantee that a seller ships to every country or destination.
Delivery and collection: The seller and buyer agree whether an item is collected in person or delivered, and confirm the destination, carrier or handover method, availability, and delivery time directly with each other.
Price and charges: A listing's displayed price is the item price only unless the listing explicitly says otherwise. Marketplace does not calculate, collect, or guarantee delivery charges. Ask the seller to confirm the final item-plus-delivery amount before paying.
Distance and cross-border delivery: Any distance shown by the app is an approximate straight-line distance, not a road route or carrier quote. For international deliveries, the buyer and seller must confirm whether shipping is available and who pays transport, customs, duties, taxes, and other import or export charges. Do not assume these costs are included in the listed price.
Before payment: Confirm the final price, delivery or pickup arrangements, expected timing, and any applicable charges directly with the seller. Marketplace is not responsible for delays or costs set by sellers, carriers, customs authorities, or other third parties.
Return & Refund Policy
Marketplace is a platform for free listings. It does not own listed goods, act as the seller, collect payment, or issue refunds for individual transactions. Any return or refund arrangement is made directly with the seller and must be agreed before payment.
1. Seller-Defined Terms
Retail stores and professional sellers may publish their own return terms. Buyers must confirm those terms, the seller identity, the final price, and the payment method directly with the seller before completing a transaction.
2. Second-Hand Goods & Local Listings (1-Day Window)
For pre-owned goods and local listings, buyers should inspect the item at the meetup. Any return or remedy for an undisclosed defect must be agreed directly with the seller.
3. Vehicles, Real Estate, Services, Taxi & Job Listings (0 Days)
Property, vehicle, labour, taxi, job, and service listings do not have a Marketplace return policy. The parties must agree the applicable terms before payment, booking, or handover.
Disputes can be reported to Marketplace support, but the underlying transaction remains between the buyer and seller. Marketplace may remove listings or restrict accounts for policy violations.
Seller Code of Conduct
All sellers on Marketplace must act honestly and transparently. Accurate listing information and clear pricing are required for every ad.
- Describe item condition truthfully and disclose any damage or defects.
- Use the correct category and provide complete product details.
- Provide valid contact information and meet buyers at a safe local location.
- Honor agreed appointment times and be available for buyer inspection prior to payment.
- Accept returns or refunds only within the policy windows stated above and communicate clearly if a request is made.
Failure to follow this code may result in listing removal, account restrictions, or suspension.

- Meet in public, well-lit areas (e.g., markets or malls).
- Never send money online before seeing the item.
- Inspect electronics and vehicles thoroughly before paying.
- Bring a friend with you for high-value meetups.
